The Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) and the Green Grids Initiative (GGI) published a briefing note on how expanding transmission systems should play a key role in the global energy transition.

Introducing the briefing note, they write: “Rapidly building out electricity grids is a critical step in phasing out coal power and creating a clean energy future – there is no transition without transmission. Grids and transmission infrastructure, however, are complex and expensive systems to develop and require detailed planning as well as collective action. Given this, the sharing of knowledge, expertise and experience is key.”
