German truck maker Daimler Truck reported a 15% drop in second quarter sales on Monday, pointing to a market normalization for its truck division.

The company sold 112,195 vehicles in the second quarter, compared with 131,888 a year earlier, it said in a statement.

Sales of electric vehicles rose by 69% compared with the same quarter last year, the company added.
