BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s electric vehicle giant BYD said it will launch a new generation of blade batteries in 2025, Chinese state media CGTN reported on Saturday.

BYD’s Blade Battery is a less bulky lithium-iron-phosphate battery that its Chairman Wang Chuanfu has said is safer than other alternatives in the market and will not catch fire.
