Australian Oilseeds Expands Market Reach Through Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Growth in China

COOTAMUNDRA, New South Wales, Jan. 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Australian Oilseeds Holdings Limited, a Cayman Islands exempted company (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: COOT) today announced a partnership with Shanghai Maiwei Trading Co., Ltd for the sales, marketing, and distribution of its GEO brand in China.

The GEO brand features a premium range of Australian cold-pressed, non-GMO canola oil and olive oil. Shanghai Maiwei will oversee all GEO branding activities in China, supported by teams in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hebei. The Shenzhen team, with extensive e-commerce expertise, will lead online promotions and offline collaborations with supermarkets and private channels. Warehouses in Shanghai and Hebei will ensure efficient nationwide distribution. The "chemical-free" canola and olive oil market in China is steadily growing due to increasing consumer awareness about healthier food options. Moreover, the growing middle class in China with more purchasing power to opt for premium oils has also been driving demand.

“This partnership marks a significant step in bringing high-quality Australian oils to Chinese consumers,” said Gary Seaton, Chief Executive Officer. “The strong potential for our GEO brand in China, combined with our partner's established market presence and deep regional expertise, creates a solid foundation for sustainable growth.”
