SeAH Wind sign major contract to supply monopiles to Norfolk Vanguard Project

On December 13th, 2023, SeAH Wind and Vattenfall signed a significant contract for the supply of monopiles to their Norfolk Vanguard East and Norfolk Vanguard West offshore wind farms, located in the UK North Sea. 

The monopiles will reach up to 96 meters in length, weighing up to an impressive 2200 tons. Schedule to begin production in 2026, the agreement to supply all the XXL Monopiles from SeAH Wind’s new factory which is current under construction, is not only the largest order for foundations for a UK based manufacturer but is also the largest single contract secured in the history of SeAH.

The Norfolk Zone consists of three clusters which have been fully consented for development, Norfolk Boreas, Norfolk Vanguard West, and Norfolk Vanguard East, totaling 4.2GW in offshore wind capacity. Vattenfall have since divested the Norfolk offshore wind zone to RWE, where SeAH continues to work in close collaboration with both developers to ensure successful execution of the project. ...
