The term "green steel" is rapidly gaining popularity, but what does it actually mean? While the promise of green steel is clear—reducing CO2 emissions during the production process—there is no universally accepted definition. When can steel truly be considered "green"? This lack of clarity is causing confusion within the industry.

To provide more insight into this trend, Sif has published a new whitepaper: 'What shade would you like your green steel? Comparing different low-emission steel standards'. In this document, we compare three different classification methods for low-emission steel, giving our customers and partners a better understanding of how these standards are defined and applied.
