Focus on SaskPower

SaskPower is Saskatchewan’s government-owned electricity utility. Since 1929, it has delivered power throughout Saskatchewan. today serving over 550,000 customers. It has over 3,100 employees and $13 billion in generation, transmission and distribution assets. In 2013 it was producing power from natural gas (2,160 MW), coal (1,389), hydro (864), wind (617), solar (83), and has interties with Manitoba, Alberta, North Dakota (290). It is exploring the possible addition of small modular nuclear generation.
